Anika Lussier

PHYSIOTHERAPIST
MPT, BSc, IMS

Anika is a physiotherapist, clinic owner, and clinical leader with a strong background in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation. Originally from Québec, she earned her Master of Physical Therapy from McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine in 2015, following a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Therapy from Concordia University.

After graduating, Anika completed post-graduate training in the United States and went on to earn her Diploma of Musculoskeletal Management in 2017. Since relocating to Nanaimo in 2015, she has continued to advance her clinical expertise through Evidence In Motion and other continuing education, while remaining deeply committed to evidence-based, hands-on care.

Anika is a co-founder and co-owner of the clinic alongside her husband and has been instrumental in growing the practice to three locations. While her role has naturally evolved to include leadership, mentorship, and operations, she continues to treat patients regularly and has remained clinically active throughout the growth of her family – demonstrating sustained commitment and leadership both within the clinic and beyond it. Her approach reflects both clinical excellence and real-world understanding of movement, recovery, and resilience across life stages.

Her treatment style integrates manual therapy with active rehabilitation and education. Techniques may include IMS/dry needling, joint mobilizations, soft tissue and instrument-assisted techniques, therapeutic exercise prescription, taping, and other modalities tailored to each patient’s goals. With a background in athletic therapy and experience working with competitive teams—including McGill University’s women’s hockey program—Anika has a particular interest in injury prevention, return-to-sport planning, and performance-based rehabilitation.
